Rhian Jones

I am intrigued by the idea of an object acting as a bridge between people, place, memory and emotion.

Responding to location, history and personal narrative through the creation of talismans, the oyster shell forms in steel, copper and bronze convey a spirit of place.  My “atgof” installation at Llanddwyn Island celebrated memory, shared experience and treasured objects, allowing others to attach meaning and memories to their own shell.
